General Questions

Q: Can I join the team?/ Can I help you guys with subbing?
A: Sure, just send us an e-mail at shinzukisubs@gmail.com with a message explaining which dramas you're interested in helping with and what do you want to help in (i.e. translating or timing).

Q: Can you please sub (blank) drama(s)?
A: We will take your suggestions into consideration and present it to the rest of the team. However, we will respect our team's decision whether to sub the suggested drama(s) or not. (This goes back to the motto 'We sub for fun'.) With that said, suggestions are welcomed, but there is no guarantee that the drama(s) will pass through with the team's voting.

Q: How come there are no news whatsoever from the staff and it's been a long time since last release?
A: My question to you: Do you want us to take the only free time we have during the day to sub the dramas and get it going or spend time monitoring the blog 24/7 and answer/update on every single detail?

We already have the Progress page and update it as much as we can at each step. So, that goes for that one. And IF any major problem comes up, like the problem with MF's progress several months back, we will inform you. TRUST ME, we will.

Q: How long until the next episode is out?/ When is the next episode out?
A: As long as it takes. It's out when all work is done with it (i.e. translating, timing, QC-ing, encoding).

Q: Why don't you recruit additional QC-ing staff to help if the current staff is busy?
A: We DO NOT recruit QC-ers because we like to observe how they translate, time, etc before promoting them. It is a drawback but it will help us see where they are before letting them QC. If you refer to Our Subbing Way guides, you will know why we're that strict with QC-ers.
